Maldives Travelers Essentials

A holiday in the Maldives is filled with fun and excitement. But before going to this beautiful country, one must be updated with all sorts of vital information that will make your holiday safe and enjoyable.

The Maldives Travel Essentials provides a complete list of what to carry, rules and regulations of the country, medical information and other materials which will enable tourists to move freely inside the country.

First, since the sun shines almost all year, be equipped with a sunscreen lotion and sunglasses with them. A good number of caps, hats should also be taken to protect themselves from the sun’s rays.

Light summer and cotton clothing are recommended. As it is a warm country, these types of clothing are most comfortable.

Travelers must also carry insect repellent with them. Being a tropical country, there are many insects and mosquitoes here and, therefore, these repellents are essential.
In order to go for scuba diving one must bring their own swimming suits and diving equipment.

Do not forget to bring your credit cards in the Maldives. American Express, Visa, Diners Express and Master Card are accepted here. A good dose of change is also necessary.
Although water is good here, it is recommended that one should buy mineral water.

Before coming here, we must have confirmed hotel reservations. This is necessary for immigration. There are certain restrictions on what to pack in Maldives. Travelers should not carry religious articles, alcohol, weapons and ammunition with them when visiting that country. Dogs and dangerous animals are not allowed.

Travelling in the country in its many islands is easy. You can move through air or take local boat rides to the various stations or islands of the country.
