Surfing the South Male atoll includes quarters (Gulhigaathuhuraa), Aboriginal (Kandooma Resort), Kate’s (nearly Palm Tree Island Resort) and Riptides (near the island of Guraidhoo). Most surf sites in the Maldives are located near the uninhabited islands giving the air of isolation for surfers. The Outer atolls of Maldives provide myriad reef breaks. The best time to catch waves in the field of external atolls is from the months from February to April.
